The Darndest Things

The other day (to be quite honest it could have been yesterday for all I know. but being a sleep deprived mother, my days kind of blur together):

Moses asked Roz, "Where's mom Roz?"
She told him I was in my bedroom.
He came to look for me and found me in the bathroom putting some make up on.
"You not you bedroom, you in the bathroom."
So, he of course had to go tell Roz she was wrong.
"Roz, mom not in bedroom. Mom in the bathroom."
He then asked me, "What you doing, Mom?" With a very puzzled look on his face, I might add.
"I'm putting on my make up so I can look pretty."
"Oh, you make up?"
"Yeah, do I look pretty?"

"No" he said.

Thanking God

I can't imagine ever having to go through something like this. It was so hard when Oscar was in the hospital and that was really nothing compared to this. My cousin had a post with a link to this blog today and I read it and bawled.

Its pretty easy let life get you down. Complain about every little that is not going exactly how you'd like it to.

We only have one car.
We live with Jared's parents.
The economy sucks and has affected us directly.
The weather is depressing, I want spring already.
I hate bills.
Kids are expensive.
My cookies didn't turn out yesterday.
I hate my hair.
I need new clothes.
I never have a moment to myself.
I can't ever seem to get anything done.
I want to play more music.
Why does everything cost so much?

And then something happens that really puts things in perspective.
Luckily we haven't had too many of those.

My three amazing and beautiful children are healthy.
I have a family with the man I love more than anything and I couldn't do it without him.
We have an amazing support system of family and friends.
We have the ability and talent for music, which no one could do without.

I don't know how to insert a link, so here's the address:
